what

we do
Trail Maintenance Initiatives
We keep the Maah Daah Hey Trail rideable, hikeable, and visible. As the only nonprofit working directly with the U.S. Forest Service, we lead volunteer crews to mow, trim, prune, and dig drainage across 180+ miles each year. It’s tough, gritty work that keeps this 144-mile trail alive and accessible for everyone who loves the Badlands.
Youth Programs
& Events
We grow future trail stewards through hands-on programs and major events. Youth crews help maintain the trail while learning outdoor and leadership skills. We also partner with LAND LLC for the Maah Daah Hey 100, a legendary August race offering 100 to 13-mile options that draws riders from across the country. It’s part of the Badlands Race Series—a celebration of endurance and community on one of America’s most scenic trails.
